TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Blue Iguana Catering
wants your event to be a success! The best way to achieve success is
to formulate a strong, honest and open relationship with you. A
relationship where communication is clear and expectations from both
sides are understood from the outset.
Blue Iguana Catering services are hired under the terms and
conditions set out below and as described in relevant venue
documentation. The payment by any person of any fees and charges for
such services and venue facilities shall be deemed to be an
acknowledgment and acceptance by such person of these conditions.
The Quotation
Once you have discussed
your brief, Blue Iguana Catering will develop a quotation for you
based on your individual requirements. This written quotation will
remain valid for 30 days from date of issue. In the instance that
the event brief alters, it may be necessary to review and reissue
each quotation.
The Prices
While all attempts are
made to maintain prices, they may be subject to change at the
discretion of Blue Iguana Catering management. Once a deposit has
been paid against an invoice, no revision to fees will occur unless
the conditions and/or requirements of the quotation are altered.
Confirmation of Booking
Blue Iguana Catering
consider confirmation of your event upon receipt of these terms and
conditions signed by you and accompanying payment of the requested
deposit by the due date specified. Failure to adhere to this
procedure may result in Blue Iguana Catering being forced to cancel
the event and/or venue hold
The Indemnity
The client uses and
occupies any venue booked on their behalf by Blue Iguana Catering at
their own risk. The client hereby indemnifies Blue Iguana Catering
and agrees to keep Blue Iguana Catering indemnified against all
actions, suits, proceedings, claims and demands, costs and expenses
whatsoever which may be taken or made against Blue Iguana Catering
and /or incurred arising out of injury or damage to any person or
property from or during the use of Blue Iguana Catering equipment at
any venue or facility.
The Payment Terms
As many costs are
incurred on your behalf prior to the event date, Blue Iguana
Catering have the following payment terms:
* A deposit, based on a minimum of 50% of total quotation costs, is
required to confirm your event (where venues are booked on your
behalf, a larger deposit may be required).
* Full payment of all costs is payable on the day of your
event.
* Venue bookings will remain in the name of Blue Iguana Catering.
Cancellation
In the instance that you
need to cancel your event, the following conditions will apply:
All cancellations must
be made in writing
If cancellation occurs
more than 30 days prior to the event date, 75% of the deposit will
be refunded
If cancellation occurs
14 - 30 days (inclusive) prior to the event date, 50% of the deposit
will be refunded.
If cancellation is
received less than 14 days prior to the event date, the cancellation
fee will consist of the total deposit and all non refundable
charges.
Where circumstances
beyond Blue Iguana Catering's control prevent Blue Iguana Catering
from fulfilling any obligations, Blue Iguana Catering will be
released from this agreement without penalty.
The Confirmation of
Guest Numbers
To ensure maximum value
and efficiency for you, Blue Iguana Catering requires confirmation
of minimum numbers attending your event at least seven working days
prior to the event date.
The final number of guests attending the event is required five
working days prior to the event.
If the confirmed number of guests increases by more than 5% less
than two working days prior to the event, a surcharge of 15% may
apply on food and beverage charges for the additional guests. Blue
Iguana Catering will endeavor to accommodate any requests at late
notice but are unable to give a guarantee.
The Staff Charges
Should your event brief
fall outside our minimum numbers or package costing, a service
charge will apply.
Minimum call out charge for staff is 4 hours.
Minimum set up and derig time is 2 hours (based on event details).
Events finishing past midnight will incur a service charge (based on
the above rates), charged for each staff member per hour or part
thereof.
The standard staff ratio for events is:
1 staff member per 15
guests for a seated dinner
1 staff member per 20
guests for a cocktail function
1 bar person per 150
guests (minimum 1 bar person per event)
If additional staff
(above these staff ratios) are requested a charge may apply.
The Surcharges
Surcharges will apply
for all events held on standard public holidays (ie Thanksgiving,
Christmas, Easter, etc.) of 20%. This surcharge is calculated
on the total food and beverage cost.
The Responsible Service of Alcohol/Disorderly Conduct
Blue Iguana Catering
have a Responsible Service of Alcohol Policy. Blue Iguana Catering
reserves the right to refuse service to a person who has consumed an
excessive amount of alcohol and/or request the departure from the
premises of such person. It is illegal also to serve beverage to any
person under eighteen years of age and Blue Iguana Catering reserve
the right to request suitable identification to this end.
We at Blue Iguana Catering will not permit or suffer any riotous,
disorderly, offensive or improper conduct. Offenders will be asked
to leave the event and may be escorted off the premises by a
representative or member of security personnel, if necessary the
Police.
The Damages
Neither Blue Iguana
Catering or any venue booked on behalf of the client shall be liable
for any loss or damage sustained by the client or by any person,
firm or corporation supplying any client.
The client shall be responsible for the cost of making good any
damage or loss caused to any venue booked on behalf of the client
and Blue Iguana Catering fittings and equipment arising out of and
in the course of the clients events.
The Venue Specific Terms and Conditions
In the instance where a
venue is booked by Blue Iguana Catering on behalf of the client, the
client is also bound by the venue Terms & Conditions.
Payment of any fees and charges for Blue Iguana Catering services
and venue facilities shall be deemed to be an acknowledgment and
acceptance of those conditions.
